I'm wondering if any of you have heard about an organisation called AIESEC (Association Internationale des Etudiants en Sciences Economiques et Commerciales).

It's an organisation run by students for students who are interested in economics and management. People from all kinds of backgrounds are welcome, as it promotes togetherness and all that.

So, AIESEC UKM held an EYLN (Entrepreneurship & Youth - a Learning Network) conference, for 3 days and 2 nights. A group of 12 of us from Binary were sent as delegates. Note that we didn't know each other existed before that. Go figure.

So while we were there, we did a bunch of interesting things. Serious learning, and serious fun.

There were about 80 people there, students and fresh graduates from Sunway, Taylor's UKM and several other learning institutes all over KL. We were broken up into groups and it's amazing the things you can do together with other people you've only just met. Yeah, you have the inital reservations, but after a few minutes of chatting, it's as if you've known each other forever. Especially when you've just found out you're they're your supposed partners in business. You gotta trust these people.

We had to cmoe up with a business plan, complete with concepts, strategies and financial forecasts, all in just 3 hours. I'm proud to say all of us delegates stepped up to the challenge. And we were to present it in front facilitators, local AIESECers and AIESEC abassadors from other countries like the Netherlands, France and Brazil. Very intimadating.

But like I said, we had serious fun too. We actually line danced at every end of the day *laughs*. It was amazing. You get 80+ people strwen all olver a lecture hall, turn up the music and everybody starts dancing. It doesn't matter whether you CAN dance, everybody just had fun.

You get to meet people from all over, make new friends. My kind of thing (According to an MBTI we did, facilitated by Hui Ming from GE, I prefer Extraversion, which means, the bigger and louder the crowd, the hapier I am. But you al knew that right?=D).

I'm actually still feeling the energy up to this day. I'm more participative in class, I smile at everyone I see, I try to bring cheer in everyday. Unfrotunately, Binary has yet to have an AIESEC, but we're working on it.

If you see or hear about any event organised by AIESEC, I strongly suggest you take up on it. It'll do you a lot of good. Event though you're not of business background, you'll learn a lot from them.
