Today was the first day of class. I've been on holiday for so long that my bearings have gone a little haywire. I don't remember how to take notes anymore. *blink blink*
On a brighter note, at least now I've got stuff to do. Pretty soon I'll be complaining of having too MUCH to do *chuckles*. I welcome stress more than I do boredom.
I was over at Mia's blog the other day and she wrote about feeling all alone here in this town. And I agree. I feel this constant need to surround myself from people back home, and when I do it feels like nothing else in this world. It doesn't matter where we are. At home, out driving, or serendipitous meetings at the mall. You leave feeling a little lighter. Things become more bearable.
I haven't been home in almost 8 months. I feel the weight. I miss just watching tv with my cat Spot curled up next to me (not to mention my flipping the channels on Astro, as opposed to the 6 channels on national tv...). I miss cuisine experiments with my mom. Jokes around the dinner table. Trips to the supermarket just because. And my laundry done for me. *sigh*
It's great being here in KL. You can get pretty much anything. And I have wonderful friends. But it's not home.
I long for home.
I pine for home.
